Away from the family and missing them lots
It's been a long five days away from the family. I had to go out of town for work but it was also fun. I talked to Little Prince everyday, if not twice a day.
This morning he asked me if I was on my airplane yet, "no, not yet". I only talk to him for a few minutes but he would tell me he's being good or he told me he was watching a movie and what movie. One day he told me he was pooping in the potty! DH has told me Little Prince has made it to the potty every time except one. He even told DH he had to go when he had diarrhea. We are so proud of him. One day DH told him he was so proud of him and he responded "so proud you cry?" I asked DH why he would say that. DH had told Little Prince, days earlier that he made him so happy that he could cry. It's amazing what he thinks and puts together and some of the things that comes of out of his mouth like; he was telling me "poop came out of my butt down there!".
DH has been asking him what he wants Santa Claus to bring him. He wants a horsey-with-a-long-neck (giraffe). But the other day he said the same thing but added a toy box. DH thought he said tool box but Little Prince said "no, toy box like _____ (princesses). He has a little one but I guess he's planning for more toys! We have already started Christmas shopping quite a while ago. The bigger items are a tricycle for him, a little bicycle for her and a sled/toboggan for the both of them. We have also bought them puzzled and more educational type toys. They will be having a very good Christmas.
We are sure Princess will have a good Christmas also but we can not be sure what she wants. She has been acting a little beyond her norm. She's wetting her pullups a lot and not going potty when we put her on the potty. She still goes into the bathroom herself if she has to have a bowel movement but wetting is a different story. Maybe she has a bladder infection or she is being effected by us moving, into another house, more than what we think. We can't really tell how much she understands or how much something is going to effect her. The morning I flew out, I was getting her ready for school and I gave her a big hug and told her I was going to be gone for a few days but that I would be back. She gave me a kiss and a hug (sometimes done to make me stop talking). But when I took her to to school, she didn't want to get out of the car and didn't want to go with her teacher. She actually hugged me and buried her head in my shoulder. I tried to get her to go with her teacher, finally the teacher had to pick her up and carry her into the school. Was it because she knew I was leaving?
I will be so glad to be home. The second half of our group's flight was cancelled on the way down here, so we had to rent a car and drive about three hours. Now we are trying to get out of here and before we even left the hotel, we were told our flight was delayed by an hour. When we got to the airport Delta transferred us to American so we could get home at a decent hour. Delta was very helpful, keeping us together and we are only getting home about an hour and half later than originally planned. If we would have continued with Delta, we would have missed our connecting flight and probably would have gotten home much later.

Glad you made it home safe. When are you all planning to close? Have the kids seen the house yet? That may help LP know where he is going WITH you all.
